Ingredients
- 12 ounces wide egg noodles
- 10 ounces canned tuna (2 cans), drained
- 7 ounces canned sliced mushrooms (optional), drained
- 21 ounces cream of mushroom soup (2 cans)
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 8 ounces Colby Jack cheese, shredded
- 1½ cups milk
- ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

- Boil egg noodles to al dente in salted water, following the lower end of the cooking time on the package.
- Drain the cans of tuna and mushrooms (if using).
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, Colby Jack cheese, peas, tuna, salt, pepper, and mushrooms.
- Add the hot, drained egg noodles to the mixture and stir well to coat everything evenly. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Have fun trying different kinds of cheese in this recipe. Cheddar is also good. We can see Swiss or gouda being tasty as well. You could even use Velveeta if you wanted a super creamy, smooth texture.

Remove the casserole from the fridge when you preheat the oven to start taking the chill off. Add the topping and then bake, adding 5-10 minutes to the bake time.
